Cover-for-websiteThe Putah Creek Crawdads are a Yolo County acoustic vocal and string band playing folk, Americana, gospel and bluegrass music.

The Crawdads have been playing around Yolo County with occasional forays into Sacramento and Solano counties and beyond for more than 40 years. Members reside in Davis, Woodland, Knights Landing and Winters.

A few years ago, at the California Bluegrass Association’s annual music camp, the Crawdads found a musical mentor in well-known Bluegrass musician Keith Little. Keith has helped the group grow musically over the last couple of years. Keith is the producer and editor of “Going Back” and arranged for the technical assistance of Bluegrass guitarist Jim Nunnally and his Music Hill Recording Studio in Crockett, CA.

The Putah Creek Crawdads are Ray Coppock, guitar, harmonica and baritone harmony; Marc Faye, bass and harmonies, Wayne Ginsburg, mandolin and bass harmony, Kate Laddish, fiddle and harmonies, Chip Northup, guitar and lead vocals; Cap Thomson, banjo and tenor harmony.
