Putah Creek Crawdads, an acoustic vocal and string band, plays folk, Americana, gospel and bluegrass music.
The Putah Creek Crawdads have been playing around Yolo County and beyond for more than 50 years. Members reside in Davis, Knights Landing, Winters and Woodland.
A few years ago, at the California Bluegrass Association’s annual music camp, the Crawdads found a musical mentor and friend in Bluegrass musician Keith Little (Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, David Grisman Bluegrass Experience and Keith Little and the LittleBand). Keith has helped the group grow musically over the last several years and is the producer and editor of Going Back and our newest CD, Rolling On. He arranged for the technical assistance of bluegrass guitarist/sound engineer Jim Nunnally (John Reischman and the Jaybirds, David Grisman Bluegrass Experience, and currently the Nell Robinson and Jim Nunnally Band).
The Putah Creek Crawdads play at local events including the Davis and Woodland Farmers Markets, various non-profit benefit events and private events as well as for various senior living facilities in Yolo County.
